Concentration Of Sodium Chloride And Water At 293 K

To make a saturated solution, 36 g
of sodium chloride is dissolved in 100 g of water at 293K. Find its concentration at this temperature.

Answer:
Concentration of a solution (mass %)
=mass of solute × 100 / mass of solution.
mass of solute (NaCl) = 36g
mass of solvent (Water) = 100g
mass of solution =
mass of solute + mass of solvent

= 100 + 36 = 136g
mass by % concentration

= 36 × 100 / 136 = 26.47%
